2024 Season Recap
Our 2024 season has wrapped up and we could not be more blessed and humbled by what the Lord has done in the lives of our attendees, serving over 74 Military and First Responders from all over our great Country. Although we are always sad to see a season close, we have much to be grateful for and celebrate. We also are celebrating our 7 year anniversary here in our Montana expansion location, having served over 500 First Responders and Veterans from across this great country of ours in just 7 seasons in Big Sky Country.
As many of us know, the current social climate of high crime and increased global conflicts have been extremely difficult and trying for both our Military, First Responders and their families. We have seen record numbers of Veteran and First Responder Suicides as well as many Law Enforcement Officers targeted and killed in the line of duty. The emotional and generational traumatic effects on the families of these great warriors cannot be measured, and it is something many of us cannot begin to comprehend.
These First Responders answer our calls for help when nobody else will often placing their lives in danger without hesitation. They break up physical confrontations and violent crimes that our society creates, fight fires that most people would not want to even approach, and attempt to make peace amidst chaos where peace is not present. Often, these officers and service members witness events causing moral injuries to themselves and to their loved ones. The second and third order of effects of this trauma are issues that the warrior and their families are left with for the rest of their lives.
Task Force Heroes provides a safe for each individual to express themselves and talk through trauma, while learning resiliency skills, coping mechanisms, leadership skills and outdoor activities, all taught by seasoned fellow warriors. This provides a path to bridge the gap through understanding, human connection, empathy and compassion. It is a true peer to peer experience by meeting brave men and women on common safe ground.
So, this Christmas season as we approach the birth of our Lord and Savoir, may we always remember the true meaning of the season, and that is Jesus. Without Him we are lost. There is no tangible object, diamond, toy or new jacket that can offer eternal life. No gift compares to the one we were given by our Lord!! Here at Task Force Heroes, we have been blessed to be able to provide a safe and beautiful environment for our Nation’s Heroes to find rest, renewal and the message of the Gift of Christ, it is our privilege and honor to serve those that serve us. We could not do it without your support and your gifts. Whether that is through prayers, sponsorships, donations and volunteer efforts, we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for being a part of our Team!
May your Christmas season be a season of Hope, Love, and Faith as we remember and reflect on the true Gift of Christmas….His name is Jesus!
